"Fruit Smoothie" Dog & Owner Treats

December 25, 2017

These treats are super simple, quick and easy to make - You will wonder why you ever bothered buying treats in the first place.

Containing only healthy ingredients with all the required vitamins, minerals, carbs, fats and proteins your dog needs without the preservatives and unhealthy stuff.

They are a much healthier and cheaper alternative to those found in the dog store.

Flaxseeds are an excellent source of omega-3 essential fatty acids. They are a very good source of dietary fiber, vitamin B1 and and copper. They are also a good source of the minerals magnesium, phosphorus and selenium.

Oats a good source of copper, biotin, vitamin B1, magnesium, dietary fiber, chromium, zinc and protein.

Fruits are full of vitamins, minerals and protein.

These fur baby treats are packed with only healthy ingredients and are suitable for humans too... you may want to add a little jam or maple syrup to the human batch for sweetness.

1 cup Oats / oat flour

 1 cup Strawberries, Raspberries, Banana

1 tbspFlaxseed

For a smoother biscuit texture use oat flour.

Rolled oats work also just as well, they will have more of a flapjack consistency like in the photos...I used rolled oats.

Pop all the ingredients into a bowl and mash together until nicely combined

OR ...

If you have a very good blender, put all the ingredients into the blender until combined.

Scoop a tbsp amount onto a non stick baking sheet

Press to make little discs or any little shapes

Bake in the oven until golden brown and leave to fully cool before giving them to pooch.

For a slightly crispier biscuit leave them in the oven until they're a nice tanned colour... (like a 3 week Caribbean tan shade)
